Army Base Gateway Redevelopment Project
Lease Disposition and Development Agreement and Related Agreements
On July 3, 2012, the Oakland City Council approved a master plan for a development project on approximately 130 acres of the former Oakland Army Base. The mixed-use project will include commercial, maritime, rail and open space uses.
The City Council also authorized the City Administrator to negotiate and execute a Lease Disposition and Development Agreement (LDDA) with Prologis CCIG Oakland Global for the development of the project. The LDDA, which was executed October 23, 2012, spells out the financial terms, the scope of development and other considerations for developing the Army Base.
