“Public records” includes any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public’s business prepared, owned, used, or retained by any state or local agency regardless of physical form or characteristics. [California Public Records Act, Gov. Code 6252 (e)] “Writing ”means any handwriting, typewriting, printing, photostating, photographing, photocopying, transmitting by electronic mail or facsimile, and every other means of recording upon any form of communication or representation, including letters, words, pictures, sounds, or symbols, or combinations thereof. City Council The City Council meet the first, third and fifth Tuesdays of the month in Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall. Ceremonial presentations and non-controversial (consent) items will be heard at 5:30 pm. At 6:30 pm public hearings and discussion items are reviewed. City Council Committees There are six Council committees, each comprised of four Councilmembers assigned by the President of the City Council. Proposed legislative actions are first reviewed by Council committees and then forwarded to the City Council for final action. Download a ROSTER OF COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP. Council committees meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 9:30 am until convened in Sgt. Mark Dunakin room, on the first floor of City Hall.
